When is registration? - Registration opens in Dec and closes by mid-March. On the home page, click on the "REGISTER NOW" button to begin the process.
What is the cost of Registration?
Registration cost varies depending on grade level. Visit the registration page and select the appropriate grade to see current pricing.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Every player MUST have a current US Lacrosse membership. This is a separate cost from the registration fee. Within our registration process, you will be linked to the US Lacrosse website to process your player's membership.
For those families that reside in the Camas/Washougal area, we want to be sure that you know about the Camas Lacrosse program. www.camaslacrosse.com However, we understand that there are families that would prefer to play with our club. As our goal is to grow the game, we welcome you to SWWALAX.
How do I pay for the registration? - On the payment page, there is an option to pay with a credit card via PayPal or pay by check.

Do you have any discounts or scholarships? - yes, we have a $25 sibling discount. We do not have any scholarships at this time. But if there is a specific need for a family, (loaner gear, payment plan) we will make every effort to accommodate.
We are new to lacrosse, are there any pre-season clinics where we can try it out? Yes, we have Learn to Play clinics that players can attend to try it out before committing to registering. Equipment is provided. Be sure to check our event calendar.
When is the lacrosse season? - Practices start in March, games start after spring break, finish at the end of May.
What is select lacrosse? - Select lacrosse is an IN Season program that allows those players that wish to play additional games at a more competitive level. Typically it means an extra practice and game each week.
When and where are practices? – Practice schedule will depend on the coach’s schedule and availability. Typically teams practice twice a week every other day, for an hour to an hour and 1/2 depending on age level.
When and where are games? - We play 1-2 games per week depending on age level and schedules. One weekday game and one Saturday game. We like to play local Vancouver or Portland teams during the week to reduce travel and schedule away games on Saturdays if possible. We will play team all over the Portland metro area. Portland, Beaverton, Canby, Hillsboro, Clackamas, etc. So develop those carpools early in the season.
Will there be tournaments or jamborees? - Tournaments added depending on team availability.
What equipment is required? - for boys, stick, helmet, gloves, arm guards, chest protector, cup, mouth guard, cleats. For girls, stick, goggles, mouthguard. Check out our EQUIPMENT page.
Where do I get equipment? - Dick's Sporting Goods, Bigfoot Lacrosse are great places. Sometimes you can find good gear on Craigslist. Also it's good to check with other families to see if they have any gear their player has outgrown. Click on the Equipment Tab on the left menu.
What is required to be a coach? Are you looking for coaches? - Coaches must be US Lacrosse Members and pass a background check. SWWALAX provides training. Drills, practice plans, etc... SWWALAX is always looking for those parents that want to get involved and who love to coach.
